History Rookie of the Year is handed out to the Swans best first year player, this player is considered to have not only played the most consistent football of all other rookies but also to have taken steps to improve his own game.
How it Works A panel of 3 senior coaches and players vote on the award at the end of the season, the panel consists of the Coach, Assistant Coach and Captain of the team. To be eligible for the award the player must be a first year player, and play more than 7 games for the year. Any player who has played less than 5 senior games at the start of the following season is also eligible for the award. |
