History The Gargoyles visited Ottawa in 2007 for an exhibition match, only the second OAFL team to do so. The Gargoyles would win comfortably that day and spend the night on the town with the Swans. With the Blues not wishing to continue the tradition of the Canada Day Cup into the regular season in 2008, the Swans would invite the Gargoyles to take up the vacancy in a bid to build a strong rivalry and relationship between the clubs. The Gargoyles would come to Ottawa for the Canada Day Cup in 2008 and defeat the Swans by under 2 kicks and for the first time send the cup down the 401. Fast-Forward to 2009 and once again the Gargoyles made the trip for the annual Cup, this time however, the Swans would run out convincing winners to take back the cup. Results
