In round three of the OIMBL season the Ottawa Swans came up against the Spartans, a team that was undefeated in the bracket and averaging over 80 points per game. Compounding the challenge for the Swans, they entered the game with their most reduced roster to date with Derek Lowry, Darren Roffey, Jay Goldhawk and Gintas Dirse all unavailable. The Swans did, however, receive some good news pre-game with the word Steve Fisher would be making his debut. |

After a strong showing over the first three games of the OIMBL season which saw the Swans post one win and two narrow losses, the team went into round 4 moved up one division. Their opponent was the team they had lost to the week before, the undefeated Magicians, who had also been promoted.

The Ottawa Swans have moved up one division after a successful first three weeks in the Ottawa Intermediate Mens Basketball League (OIMBL). With a record of one win and two narrow losses, the team will take on teams of a higher calibre in the coming weeks.
